We have been established at our base in Ravenstruther near Lanark since 1979 and our staff have many years experience in the car dismantling business.

We have a wide range of New and Second-hand car parts in stock and with our computerised stocking system we can let you know if we have the parts you require in stock and on the shelf.

Recycling Policies

The Government has set a recycling target from 1st of January 2006 of 85% by weight re-use and recovery and 80% re-use and recycling. This target will increase to 95% re-use and recovery and 90% re-use and recycling from the 1st January 2015.

We have in place contracts to provide the accessibility criteria with vehicle manufacturers who are repsonsible for over 70% of vehicles on the road. These manufacturers are Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Citroën, Fiat , Ford, Hyundai, Iveco, Jaguar, Lamborghini, Lancia, Land Rover, LDV, Lotus, Mitsubishi, MG, Nissan, Perodua, Peugeot, Proton, Renault, Renault Trucks, Rover, Seat, Skoda, Tatra, Volkswagen and Volvo.

We are licensed and approved by The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency and DVLA as an Authorised Treatment Facility for handling End of Life vehicles. We also have a direct link to the DVLA website and can complete all the necessary paper work for scrapping your car online.

Whether you deliver it to us or we collect it from you, Alex McMeekin Vehicle Dismantlers will comply with the latest envirnomental legislation and will present you with an official DVLA Certificate of Destruction (CoD) in line with the new laws on continuous taxation.
